Our story

We started Soni & Soni in 2008 with a simple conviction: an idea deserves a guardian who understands both the technology behind it and the law that protects it. Nearly two decades on, that techno-legal-business approach still shapes all we do, from the first prior-art search to the moment a right is granted, renewed and enforced.
Our clients are inventors, founders, creators and brand owners, alongside overseas associates who trust us to file and defend their rights across India. We work the full intellectual-property lifecycle (patents, trademarks, designs and copyright) and reach worldwide through the PCT, Madrid and Hague routes.
Above all, we wanted a firm that feels modern and human: confidential from the first hello, transparent about cost, and quick to respond. That is the experience we set out to build, and the one we hold ourselves to every day.

After training at Amarchand & Mangaldas, Crawford Bayley & Co. and Y.J. Trivedi & Co., Dr. Gaurav Soni founds Soni & Soni as a boutique IP practice.
2012
Cross-border practice takes shape
Filings via the PCT, Madrid and Hague routes grow into a standing international portfolio practice, working with overseas associates.
