This policy explains how Soni & Soni, Advocates & Attorney(“Soni & Soni”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through this website. We act as the Data Fiduciary for the information you share with us here.

1. Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry, consultation request, booking or job application, we collect the details you provide, typically your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, the service you’re interested in, your preferred contact time, and any message, role or CV link you choose to share. We also collect limited technical data such as a hashed (non-reversible) record of your IP address and your browser’s user-agent, used solely to prevent spam and abuse.

2. How we use your data

We use your personal data only to:

  • respond to your enquiry, consultation or booking request;
  • assess and, where you ask us to, act on your intellectual-property matter;
  • consider job and internship applications;
  • keep our website secure and prevent automated abuse;
  • meet our legal and professional obligations.

3. Lawful basis & consent

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form, and to take steps at your request before potentially entering into an engagement. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us; doing so will not affect any processing already carried out.

4. Confidentiality

Anything you share with us about your idea, invention or brand is treated as confidential from the very first contact, whether or not you go on to instruct us. We handle it with the same professional care we apply to client matters.

5. Cookies & security tools

We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. To protect our forms we may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly bot-prevention service; this may set a token in your browser for verification only. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

6. Sharing & disclosure

We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing. We may share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate the website and communicate with you (such as email and hosting providers), under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or where we are required to by law.

7. Data retention

We keep your enquiry and application data only for as long as needed to deal with your request, to maintain our professional records, or to comply with applicable law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

As a Data Principal, you have the right to access a summary of the personal data we hold about you, to seek correction or completion of inaccurate data, to request erasure, to nominate another person to exercise your rights, and to grievance redressal. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
